Ein ganzes Jahr lang filmte sie ihre Umgebung in einem Park am Rand eines Wohngebiets in Seoul. Obwohl der Park selbst nur aus einem kleinen H\u00fcgel besteht, ist er Teil eines riesigen bergigen Gel\u00e4ndes, das sich vom Stadtrand Seouls bis in den s\u00fcdlichen Teil von Gyeonggi-do erstreckt und die umliegenden Berge und Bergstrassen miteinander verbindet. Rund um das Gebiet, in dem die Kamerafalle installiert ist, gibt es Sportparks und Wanderwege, die von den Anwohnerinnen und Anwohnern genutzt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Installiert wurde die Kamera vom Videok\u00fcnstler Gitae Kim, der schon lange in Seoul lebt. Mit Ausnahme von Katzen oder Tauben hatte Gitae bis dahin in seiner Stadt noch nie ein wildes Tier gesehen.Er erwartete deshalb nicht, dass seine Kamera in diesem urbanen Gebiet andere Spezies aufzeichnen w\u00fcrde. In Seoul und anderen koreanischen Grossst\u00e4dten gibt es immer mehr streunende Katzen, was vielleicht auf die wachsende Popularit\u00e4t der Haustierkultur zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren ist. Seit einigen Jahren werden sie zunehmend von Katzenliebhaberinnen und -liebhabern umsorgt, die oft \u00abKatzenm\u00fctter\u00bb genannt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Stadtregierung von Seoul hat die f\u00fcrsorgerischen T\u00e4tigkeiten dieser \u00abKatzenm\u00fctter\u00bb vor einiger Zeit aufgegriffen und eine Reihe von Initiativen ins Leben gerufen. Sie zielen darauf ab, die streunenden Katzen als nichtmenschliche Stadtbewohnerinnen zu betrachten, ihnen Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken und sich um sie zu k\u00fcmmern. Zu den Massnahmen geh\u00f6ren nicht nur Kastrationen, sondern auch die Subventionierung von Katzenm\u00fcttergruppen, die Bereitstellung von Winterunterk\u00fcnften, die Organisation von Sensibilisierungskampagnen und regelm\u00e4ssige F\u00fctterungsaktionen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Bem\u00fchungen der Stadtregierung zeigen, dass in der Einstellung gegen\u00fcber Strassenkatzen ein gesellschaftlicher Wandel stattgefunden hat. Das wiederum hat sich wahrscheinlich auf deren Anzahl ausgewirkt, was ihr h\u00e4ufiges Auftreten in den Videodaten erkl\u00e4rt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-videopress\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"VideoPress Video Player\" aria-label='VideoPress Video Player' width='500' height='281' src='https:\/\/videopress.com\/embed\/14MOOAB1?cover=1&amp;autoPlay=1&amp;controls=0&amp;loop=1&amp;muted=1&amp;persistVolume=0&amp;preloadContent=metadata&amp;useAverageColor=1&amp;hd=0' frameborder='0' allowfullscreen data-resize-to-parent=\"true\" allow='clipboard-write'><\/iframe><script src='https:\/\/v0.wordpress.com\/js\/next\/videopress-iframe.js?m=1674852142'><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Filmmaterial, das Gitae im Laufe eines Jahres gesammelt hat, zeigt die Stadt als einen mehr-als-menschlichen Raum, in dem Menschen und nichtmenschliche Wesen zusammenleben. Es hat auch Gitaes Perspektive auf seine Stadt ver\u00e4ndert.
