In the region around Arilje lies the largest raspberry-growing area in Serbia. There is hardly any competition between humans and animals for the precious fruit, as the abundant oak forests in the surrounding area provide plenty of forage for squirrels and foxes. Other animals such as birds are also welcome here, because they eat insects and thus act as natural exterminator.
